Robin Yocum, a Brilliant native and the author of critically acclaimed and award-winning novels set in the Ohio Valley, will appear at the Bellaire Public Library, 330 32 nd St., on Wednesday, June 16, at 6 p.m.
Bellaire Public Library is now offering Click & Collect curbside service on Mondays from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, and Thursdays from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Click & Collect is a safe and convenient way for patrons to pick up “on-hold” items from the library. Patrons can wait in their vehicle while a member of the staff brings the items out to them or they can grab their items from a designated space/area. To take advantage of this service you will need to download the free SEO Libraries App from the Apple App Store or Google Play, sign in to your library account with your library card number and PIN. If you have holds available at the library, simply click on the "Click and Collect" button during curbside hours and follow the directions.
Join us via Facebook Live for an afternoon with local-born author, Nancy Carpino. Her published works include: Christmas Rose, What Makes A Snowflake Grow, and the Leprechaun and His Bag of Gold.
Copies of her work will be available for purchase at the library, with 45% of the proceeds going to Bellaire Public Library.
The Library will be closed on Thursday, November 28, for Thanksgiving. May this Thanksgiving be full of gratitude, happiness, and delicious moments with your loved ones. Happy Thanksgiving from the BPL staff!
BPL's Lil' Bookworm Story Times and Craft are designed for children ages 3 through Pre-K, though all ages are welcome. These programs typically run for about half an hour. Join Miss Bri for a story, a craft, and lots of fun this fall on Thursday evenings at 5:00 pm and Friday mornings at 10:30 am.
The Library has a limited supply of at-home rapid COVID test kits. Distribution of the rapid test kits is through curbside service only. Call the library at 740-676-9421 before planning a visit to make sure kits are still available, then stay in your car upon arrival and call the library to let staff members know you are here to pick up test kits.
The Bellaire Public Library is closing the book on overdue fees! There are many stressors in life. Using your library card should not be one of them. As part of this year's Library Card Sign-Up Month, we are happy to announce that we will no longer be charging fines for returning library materials late. Outstanding overdue fees have also been wiped from existing patrons’ cards, so any overdue or lost materials may now be returned to the library without fines!
