Out of Take-Home COVID Test Kits

The Bellaire Public Library has temporarily run out of COVID-19 take-home test kits. As tests are available, they are sent to local health departments and libraries by the Ohio Department of Health's State Testing Team. Shipping dates and volumes are determined by statewide demand and available supplies. A new shipment is expected to arrive at the Bellaire Public Library by the beginning of the week of September 23. Thank you for your patience!

No More Overdue Fees!

The Bellaire Public Library is closing the book on overdue fees! There are many stressors in life. Using your library card should not be one of them. As part of this year's Library Card Sign-Up Month, we are happy to announce that we will no longer be charging fines for returning library materials late. Outstanding overdue fees have also been wiped from existing patrons’ cards, so any overdue or lost materials may now be returned to the library without fines!

Join Our 2024 Summer Reading Program!

Are you ready for an adventure this summer? Stop by the Bellaire Public Library any time between June 3 and July 24 to register for this year's Summer Reading program! Readers of all ages (pre-K to 99!) can compete for "s'mores" throughout the summer by turning in reading logs, attending programs, and participating in scavenger hunts. Each "s'more" you earn will get you a ticket to use at our Summer Reading Finale carnival or in exchange for a prize.

BPL Exhibit Honors JFK's Life and Legacy

Sixty years ago, on November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, was assassinated while riding in a presidential motorcade through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas, at approximately 12:30 pm. To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of his death, a display honoring the memory of JFK’s enduring legacy — and serving as a solemn reminder of the tragic event that occurred 60 years ago — will be on display at the Bellaire Public Library through March of 2024.
