No Library Card? Apply for a Digital Card!

Even if you don't have a library card, you can now still access online materials with a digital library card - no visit to the Library necessary. Just sign up online!


If you already have a BCPL library card, there's no need to sign up for a digital card Your physical card already gives you access to downloadable items such as eBooks, audiobooks, and databases, as well as letting you check out physical items from the library. Just use the number on the back of your card and your 4-digit PIN (last four numbers of your phone number) to access online materials.

You may convert this Digital Library Card into a full service library card for ordering books, checking out movies, and using other resources at any time by stopping at our library and showing a photo ID and proof of residency.

By applying for a Digital Library Card through Bellaire Public Library and completing the application form, you must agree to the following conditions:

  • I am a resident of Belmont County or a county adjacent to Belmont County.
  • I will not permit anyone else to use my BPL digital library card.
  • This card entitles users to online resources provided by the library and does not allow checkout of physical materials of the library.
  • I understand that some online resources have checkout limits.
  • The library will attempt to validate my information, and if my information appears invalid, or is incomplete, my application may be rejected.
