Movie Night: Bob Hope's "My Favorite Spy"In November of 1951, Bellaire received a visit of the famous entertainer and comedian Bob Hope. While here, Hope and his entourage of movie stirs were entertained by the late Michael and Anne Kuchinka at their Belview Heights home for the premiere of the movie My Favorite Spy. Wednesday, February 1, Attorney Daniel L. Frizzi, Jr. will present a lecture, “Thanks for the Memories-Bob Hope in Bellaire”, at the first program of the 2023 Great Stone Viaduct Lecture Series. The lecture will chronicle the story of how Hope was drawn to the All-American Town to preview the movie "My Favorite Spy" and explain how the Bellaire Public Library is fortunate to have received a donation of dozens of black and white photographs from Hope's 1952 visit.

On the following day, Thursday, February 2, the Bellaire Public Library will have a public showing of My Favorite Spy. The 90 minute viewing will start at 6 pm in the Community Room of the Library's lower level. Popcorn and light refreshments will be provided.

*Movies are shown at the Bellaire Public Library under the public library umbrella license of Movie Licensing USA/Swank Motion Pictures.
