Throughout June and July, help us circumnavigate the globe and sail the seven seas, just by reading! Kids and adults of all ages are welcome to participate! Every minute read will get us closer to our destinations.
2022 Trip Itinerary
Participants old and young are invited to join us on an ocean voyage this summer, sailing the seven seas and stopping at ports in various countries along the way. But we need YOUR help to get there! Every minute you read this summer take us one nautical mile closer to our goal of sailing 76,500 nautical miles around the world!
If you read just 1 hour a week throughout June and July, that gets us 480 nautical miles closer to our goal. And guess what? All reading counts! Physical books, eBooks, audiobooks, graphic novels, business reports, etc. – all reading is good reading. Participation is easy, all you have to do is read and log your minutes!
Participation Is Easy!
Just log your minutes read each week on our Summer Reading Time Log bookmarks. Bring your bookmarks into the Library at the end of each week to record your nautical miles in minutes read. For each bookmark turned in, you will receive a ticket that can be used for a prize raffle.
Attend a Summer Reading Program
Special programs will be offered throughout June and July. Attendees will also receive a ticket.
