Statewide Foreclosure Prevention Program Open House

Bellaire Public Library – October 29th

Residents of Belmont County and surrounding communities are invited to the Restoring Stability Open House on October 29th, 2012. The free event will be held at 2:30pm at the Bellaire Public Library.

The event supports housing stability through foreclosure intervention assistance and is being organized by Ohio State Extension educators. Housing counselors will be available to provide immediate, free on-site consultation to homeowners.

Restoring Stability, A Save the Dream Ohio Initiative is the State of Ohio’s leading foreclosure prevention effort administered by the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA).  The initiative utilizes federal support from the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Housing Finance Agency Innovation Fund to assist homeowners at risk of foreclosure.  Restoring Stability offers five programs to assist homeowners struggling to make monthly payments due to job loss or other hardship.

If eligible, homeowners can qualify for up to $25,000 to pay reinstatement amounts or monthly payments while on unemployment.  Contact Save the Dream Ohio toll-free at 888-404-4674 or visit the website at www.savethedream.ohio.gov for more details about the assistance available to homeowners.

OSU Extension Housing Corps Members Susan Davis and Emily Clift will be available these days to provide assistance to homeowners interested in the Restoring Stability program.
