Seán Patrick Duffy grew up in Warwood, WV. He earned a BA in History from Wheeling Jesuit College, a JD from the Washington College of Law at the American University, and an MBA from Wheeling Jesuit University. He has taught history, law, and business at the college level for several years. While serving as Intellectual Property Coordinator at Wheeling Jesuit University 's Center for Educational Technologies, Seán researched and wrote curriculum materials for the Foundations of Freedom project, a DVD-ROM based curriculum supplement on the history of the U.S.

The Bellaire Public Library and the Great Stone Viaduct Historical Education Society have teamed up to bring A Winter Local History Series for the Ohio Valley Community.
